Like Fractions

1/4 + 3/4= 4/4=1

7/101 - 2/101= 7-2/101=5/101

2/101 - 7/101= -5/101

*The denominator never changes unless you have a different denominator!!!

ex: 3/5+2/3

*When you have denominators that are diff. #'s you find the greatest common denominator!! (GCD)

 Differnt ways fractions can be writen                                                                                                                   

-1/2= -0.50                                                                                             -1/-2= 0.50

1/-2= -0.50

-1/2= -0.50

* Fractions are division in disgise!!!! (you need to know the singed # rules!!!!)

*When you wanna make a fraction a decimal, you put the numerator inside the house and the denominator is the # you divide by.

ex: 56/12- 56÷12=
